Trent Rollings, based in Calgary, Alberta, is a seasoned coffee professional with over a decade years of experience in the specialty coffee industry across the Philippines, Türkiye, and Canada. As the founder of Simpler Coffee, he provides accessible and practical education for baristas, competitors, and enthusiasts.

An Accredited Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Trainer, Trent offers SCA courses, including Introduction to Coffee, Barista Skills, Brewing, and Coffee Sustainability, enhancing participants’ coffee knowledge and skills.

Trent’s journey in coffee championships began in Manila, where he trained as a barista with his wife, Christine. He progressed to judging barista exams, national championships, and was certified as a World Barista Championship judge in 2018. In 2024 become a World Coffee Championships (WCC) Representative who ensures that competitions are run to WCC standards.
